Other Information

Living Well Ministries (LWM) was founded in October 2007 by Rev. Jacki Belile, CEC, an ordained American Baptist minister and certified empowerment coach.  Through spiritual life coaching, retreats and weekly classes, LWM creates sacred spaces to support and equip people committed to living well with God, Self and Others.

LWM programs are inspired by the intersection of two movements: the Faith and Health Movement and the Welcoming Churches Movement.  In both of these modern streams, we work to provide tools and support for “living well,” whether in relation to our neighbors,  God, ourselves, our bodies, tradition…  The list could go on and on!

Those who seek support for lives of faith, intention and service find at LWM a unique combination of one-on-one and community support for wellness-oriented discipleship.  LWM provides a non-judgmental space of discernment, study, and companionship.  Those who are drawn here may be de-churched, dis-churched, under-churched or over-churched.  Regardless of where you’re coming from, the welcome table is set for you!

Currently an independent ministry, LWM is rooted in the wellness and justice work of a number of wider communities.  It is currently affiliated with these like-minded coalitions:

  • The Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists
  • The Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America
  • The Center for Progressive Christianity
  • The Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches
  • The Chicago Faith and Health Forum
  • The Network of Spiritual Progressives
